RAYE has released ‘Click Clack Symphony, ‘ a new single co-created with hans zimmer. The London singer says the song is an empowering pep talk about surviving dark stretches and being pulled back into life by friends.
Hans Zimmer joins RAYE on ‘Click Clack Symphony’
The collaboration pairs RAYE with Hans Zimmer, credited in the recording as composer and producer. The arrangement layers percussive “click-clack” textures with a sweeping symphonic backdrop crafted by Zimmer, while RAYE delivers rapid-fire vocals and spoken-word lines that build into a cathartic chorus. RAYE framed the song as rooted in everyday rescue: “The song is about the sounds that high heels make. It’s about those times in our life when you need your best friends or your siblings to drag you out of the house and say ‘I know you’re not in the best place right now but we need to get outside, ‘” RAYE, London singer, explained.
The song, the rollout and live context
‘Click Clack Symphony’ is the latest single ahead of This Music May Contain Hope. The record will include previously released tracks such as ‘WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!’ and ‘Nightingale Lane, ‘ and has been previewed in live performances. RAYE first played the new material while kicking off her This Tour May Contain New Music run in Lodz, Poland in January (ET), then continued through venues across Europe including shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin. The single was officially released March 20, ET and has already been presented onstage during the ongoing tour.
The accompanying visual treatment for the single was created by Dave Meyers, credited as the music video director. RAYE has positioned the song as part of a larger push toward the album, with the live shows offering fans early exposure to the new composition and its themes of friendship and movement.
What’s next
Fans can expect the full album This Music May Contain Hope to arrive March 27, ET. RAYE has booked a run of U. S. tour dates planned for April and May (ET) and will join a North American arena tour in support slots across August, September and October (ET). Expect further live performances of ‘Click Clack Symphony’ on that schedule and additional promotion tied to the album rollout. As the campaign unfolds, hans zimmer’s orchestral fingerprints will remain a focal talking point for how the single translates from stage to record, and the coming weeks should clarify how the collaboration shapes the wider album sound.
