Ganesh’s exit comes after the second season wrapped with Dr. Mohan and Noah Wyle’s Dr. Robby finally reaching a calmer understanding. In the finale, Mohan suggests a possible move into geriatrics, then tells Robby, “Have a good trip. Please be safe. We need you here, even if you can be a dick sometimes. Good luck. ” He answers, “You too. ”
Gemmill said the show is built around the idea that people come in, learn, and move on. He described that pattern as “the nature of the show” and tied it directly to the medical profession, adding that the production wants to stay truthful to that process.
