Guillaume Lemay Thivierge Tva: Network clears third season of Si on s’aimait encore

TVA has approved the broadcast of the third season of Si on s’aimait encore that features Guillaume Lemay Thivierge Tva in the witness couple role, filmed in fall 2023 and scheduled to begin airing April 6 at 7: 30 p. m. ET. TVA moved the season forward from its original slot and says the decision balances responsibility to participants with public interest. The season brings back expert Louise Sigouin to help four couples working through relationship crises.

What TVA announced and why it matters

The episodes were captured in the autumn of 2023, before the controversy that emerged in March 2024 and prompted Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge to step back from the public eye and lose several contracts, including work linked to the Si on s’aimait franchise and other hosting duties. TVA had the third season in reserve; it was originally slated for winter 2025 but the network adjusted its schedule because of the daily presence of Star Académie. TVA set the new premiere to start April 6, airing Monday through Thursday at 7: 30 p. m. ET.

The season follows four new participating couples and keeps Louise Sigouin as the program’s relationship support expert. TVA emphasized the series focuses on the participants and Sigouin’s guidance rather than on the witness couple alone. The network said the season contains timeless relationship issues that will resonate with viewers.

Immediate reactions

Nathalie Fabien, director general of linear and digital programming at Groupe TVA and illico+, acknowledged internal debate before the decision and defended moving forward: “We did not want to penalize the participants nor disappoint viewers who are eagerly awaiting this excellent season, ” she said. Fabien added that the company considered its responsibilities and concluded the series “does important work” and that the season is strong and thought-provoking.

Fabien also noted the images were shot well before the controversy and that the show’s primary focus is the participating couples and Louise Sigouin’s process of accompaniment. The couple that served as the original witness pair had been replaced on a celebrity edition after the controversy; this season, the original witness couple appears in the footage already in the network’s vaults.

Quick context

Filming took place in autumn 2023. The controversy that affected Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge surfaced in March 2024 and led to the loss of several of his on-screen roles. No new season beyond this run has been confirmed at this time.

What’s next

Viewers will see the new episodes beginning April 6 at 7: 30 p. m. ET, aired Monday through Thursday, with the network monitoring audience reaction and internal review of future programming decisions. The series’ future beyond this scheduled run remains undecided; TVA says programming choices for coming years are confidential and no confirmation about subsequent seasons is being provided now. As the broadcast unfolds, attention will center on audience response and whether the network adjusts the franchise’s direction — and whether Guillaume Lemay Thivierge Tva’s presence in the filmed season changes that trajectory.
