Football Results: Maryland Terps’ Combine Measurements and Prospect Grades Shake Up Draft Picture

Two former Maryland players posted notable football results at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, where measurements and prospect grades landed in public evaluations. Alan Herron and Jalen Huskey each recorded official measurements and Prospect Grades during the event, which runs February 23 through March 2, 2026 (all times ET). Those combinescale marks and workout decisions will shape how NFL teams move forward with evaluations.
Football Results: Measurements and Prospect Grades
Alan Herron measured 6’5″ and 308 pounds and earned a 5. 67 Prospect Grade on the NFL’s eight-point scale, categorized as a candidate for the bottom of a roster or a practice squad. Herron completed nearly a full set of offensive line drills, opting out only of the broad jump; his 40-yard dash time ranked 17th out of 39 offensive linemen and his vertical jump placed 16th among the group. Herron did not post an official bench-press rep on Monday of the combine schedule.
Jalen Huskey recorded official measurements at 6’1″ and 196 pounds and received a 5. 83 Prospect Grade on the NFL’s eight-point scale, an assessment that maps to an average backup or special teamer. Huskey did not run the 40-yard dash or perform other on-field drills at the combine, one of four invited defensive backs who did not complete those workouts; he will instead have an opportunity to perform on Maryland’s pro day, for which a date has not been announced.
Drills, Rankings and Immediate Notes
Herron’s 40-yard showing placed him in the middle of the offensive-line field; the fastest time among the group was a 4. 90 by Logan Jones of Iowa, and nine offensive linemen posted sub-5. 00 times. Herron’s vertical finish in the top half of participants provided another marker evaluators will weigh alongside game tape and senior-season accolades. Huskey’s combine absence from on-field drills leaves his athletic profile incomplete at the combine, but his college production — 72 tackles, four interceptions and two pass breakups in his senior season — and an 83. 5 PFF pass coverage grade remain part of his evaluation package.
Both players carry formal invitations and measurable data into the next phase of pre-draft work. Offensive linemen were scheduled to work out on Sunday, March 1, 2026 (ET), giving Herron a defined window to showcase size and technique in front of all 32 teams. Huskey’s planned pro day workout will be the setting to close the gap on his on-field drills once Maryland announces the date.
What’s Next
Maryland’s presence at this combine follows a multi-year pattern of producing draft prospects: the program has sent 18 players to the Combine over the last four cycles and has seen multiple players drafted since 2023. The immediate next steps are clear — Herron will have his offensive-line measurements and drills on the March 1 offensive-lineman calendar (2026 ET), while Huskey will await a Maryland pro day date to complete his on-field testing.
Teams now carry these football results into interviews, medical checks and tape study as they prepare for private visits and the draft process; expect evaluations to tighten once Huskey runs at pro day and teams reconcile Herron’s combine numbers with his game film and pan-scouting appearances.
